LOVE SADLER GATE ARE HOLDING A FESTIVE NIGHT MARKET!

 

THURSDAY 30TH NOVEMBER 5PM – 9.30PM

 

Be part of something extraordinary as we open our doors for the very first time and fill Sadler Gate with a trail of over 70 artisan stalls, festive entertainment and delectable food and drink.  Our stalls will line the length of Sadler Gate, with outdoor stalls available in The Blacksmiths Yard, The Strand Arcade and Electric Daisy. Indoor pitches are also available from our fabulous host businesses.

  

We are looking for passionate and skilful artisans who can offer our visitors beautifully made products with an impressive display.  This is an incredible opportunity to showcase your creations and connect with the vibrant community of Sadler Gate.

HOW TO APPLY 

Please read our terms and conditions and submit your application via the link below by Sunday 22nd October. Applications received after this date may not be considered. ***UPDATE... 26/10/23 - We do have a few outdoor pitches available in The Strand Arcade and 4 indoor pitches available in The Old Bell Hotel***

Applying does not automatically guarantee you a pitch. We need to offer a balance of products and will notify you by email by Monday 30th October if you are successful.

 

PITCHES AND FEES

Indoor pitches can accommodate a single 6-foot table. Please make us aware should you require the use of a table.

 

Electrical points can be made available for indoor stalls from host venues. We do ask for a £5 donation to be paid directly to the host venue on the night.

Outdoor market stalls will be provided by Love Sadler Gate, these will be approx. 6ft wide with a canopy and battery powered string lighting. 

 

Electrical points are not available for an outdoor pitch. Any electrical equipment/lighting for outdoor use should be battery powered.

​

Final pitch locations and invoices will be sent by Monday 30th October 2023.  Contact details of any host venues will be detailed on individual invoices.

​

We are offering discounted pitch fees for our 2023 Night Market.

• Indoor £30 (+ £5 electricity fee to be paid directly to host venue)

• Outdoor £20

​

Invoices must be paid by BACS to the account details on the invoice and paid no later than Monday 6th November 2023. A late or unpaid fee will surrender your application invalid.

​

SETUP

Stallholders should arrive no earlier than 3.30pm on the day of the event and be ready to trade by 5pm.

​

Stallholders must remain open for trade until the end of the event at 9.30pm, or unless otherwise instructed by the Love Sadler Gate Team.

​

Stallholders will need to bring their own display equipment and any electrical equipment must be PAT tested.

​

Stallholders must prominently display their business name and prices for all products.

​

Stalls must be attractively presented, safe and clean.

​

Stallholders may only sell what is declared on their application. Any changes to products after an application has been approved must be agreed upon by Love Sadler Gate.  

​

Any goods or services offered for sale to the public must be legal and comply with current Trading Standards and Environmental Health requirements. 

​

INSURANCE, LIABILITY AND SAFETY

Stallholders must have public liability insurance, and if relevant, product and employers’ liability insurance while trading at the event. Public Liability should be no less than £2 million. Without this, you will not be permitted to trade.

​

Stallholders are liable for any damage, injury or other incident caused by stock or equipment on their stall.  Love Sadler Gate, its representatives and volunteers will not be liable for any damages, losses, claims or expenses (including professional fees) incurred directly or indirectly.

​

Any waste generated by the stallholder in any capacity must be removed by the stallholder, and not left at the host venue or in commercial or public bins. 

​

Should there be any damage to outdoor stalls or pitch areas the stallholder is liable for any costs incurred in rectifying the damage.

​

Smoking by stallholders and staff is strictly prohibited in host venues or in close proximity to any outdoor stalls.

​

Love Sadler Gate operate a zero-tolerance policy to aggressive behaviour.  Any person acting aggressively to those at the event will be asked to leave and the necessary authorities will be contacted.

​

ACCESS

Parking is available at Bold Lane, Chapel Street and St James’s Street car park, the latter having direct access onto Sadler Gate.

​

Vehicles are not permitted on the street as it will be fully pedestrianised for the event.

​

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations by a stallholder must be given no less than 14 days in advance of the event. If Love Sadler Gate are unable to fill the pitch no refund will be given.

​

There will be no refund of pitch fees for a no show on the day of the event.

​

A full refund of the pitch fee will be given to stallholders in the event of a cancellation by Love Sadler Gate. Such a cancellation will only take place under the advice of the Love Sadler Gate committee and/or the local authorities or emergency services.

​

Love Sadler Gate is not liable for any costs incurred by stallholders due to a cancellation, stallholders are required to organise their own insurance policy to cover such an event.
